Make science more real by interacting with scientists or engineers. Have him or her spend time with your children telling them about the cool things they do. Have your family doctor explain to your child how his or her body works.
Encourage science as a hobby by enrolling children in a robotics class, taking part in a science-themed event or visiting museums and technology centers.
Support children’s desire to play. The act of playing has now been recognized by scientists and educators as critical to children’s intellectual development.
