Love him or hate him, writer, actor and director Tyler Perry helped bring Atlanta to the forefront as a hub for the film and TV industry. Perry’s film and television projects employ Atlanta-based actors and crews, giving many people opportunities Hollywood would not. He also has a studio based in Southwest Atlanta that was created in 2008. This studio is where a large majority of his projects are created.
