Julian was a pioneer in pharmaceutical drugs. His research at DePauw University allowed him to create the anti-glaucoma drug physostigmine. Julian’s genius goes beyond just that. He figured out ways to replicate human hormones from plants during the 1940s and ’50s. He also helped develop the birth control pill due to his research.
