Teach yourself through books on the subject as well as magazines, online resources and even free software that students can use to teach themselves the skills needed to be successful in this field. Lastly, you can find a mentor in the field and learn through apprenticeship.
Determine if you enjoy the work. Take a moment to reflect and determine if the work is enjoyable. Is programming offering opportunities for advancement? Is the work challenging yet exciting? Is the problem-solving interesting? If so, continue to practice your computer programming skills and build your experience.
