In the 1980s, billionaire Ted Turner decided to create a 24-hour news network that would be headquartered in Atlanta. TBS over the years has employed thousands of people in the metropolitan area. The company has many brands located in the city, such as Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, TNT, TRU TV, HLN, CNN International, CNN.com and many more. Even though the company had steady layoffs in 2013 and 2014, it is still very influential.
