Lack of Privacy
This is already happening. For those who spend most of their time on the Internet, you may notice social media sites showing ads to you that are specifically tailored to your searches. This is a common practice and can infringe on your privacy. Also, all of our personal information is easily accessed online. Our work history, past relationships, favorite hobbies and so much more. Most of this information is volunteered because transparency is something that is required in our digital world. In public places, there are multiple cameras. Almost everyone is equipped with a personal camera phone, and inventions like Google Glass mean everyone can know who you are. This is like our society is George Orwell’s “1984.”
