This sequel to “The Black Parade” kicks things up a notch. There are now engaging action-adventure scenes from both Jordan and Michael’s point of view. In addition, Jordan and Michael now have new roles to juggle and new personal issues to deal with. I love how certain secondary characters and a certain antagonist have a bigger role in this book than in the first. I also love how the bond between Jordan and Michael is tested and how certain characters show that there is good and bad in everyone.
