In 2012, their app helped draw tens of thousands of Nigerians onto the streets in January to protest against proposed government cuts by turning the country’s secret budget into easy-to-read infographics. Through tweets, interactive format or infographs, governmental funds are easily transported to the masses.

This list isn't a reflection of true African technologies, while I agree that M-Pesa and the AHLRAC need to be on the list, they should replace the others with the Rooivalk, Gautrain, Ubuntu OS and the Digital Laser. These are true African breakthroughs in technology and one of a kind projects that lead the way in Africa's tech industry!
