M-Pesa or Mobile Money 

This electric money-wiring system and app was launched by Vodafone for Safaricom and Vodacom in 2007 in Kenya and Tanzania. The app allows users to pay bills, transfer funds, load cash on debit cards and other banking services without the need of a bank. This service has spread to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and India.

This list isn't a reflection of true African technologies, while I agree that M-Pesa and the AHLRAC need to be on the list, they should replace the others with the Rooivalk, Gautrain, Ubuntu OS and the Digital Laser. These are true African breakthroughs in technology and one of a kind projects that lead the way in Africa's tech industry!
