Ghanaian Kwame is the leader of the Planeteers and welder of the earth ring, which gives him the ability to control earth beneath his feet. He is voiced by legendary actor LeVar Burton and created by Ted Turner for TBS to educate kids about the value of environmental protection. The show aired from 1990-95.

The team’s Yoda-like mentor, Gaia, was voiced by actress and comedian Whoopi Goldberg in the first three years of the show. Gaia serves as the living spirit of the earth.

Wade (voiced by actor Tahj Mowry) is the brains behind Team Possible. As a genius, he provides gadgets, intel and solutions for Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable to save the world. This Disney Channel show aired in the early 2000s.

  1. Seriously this was horrible! No Static Shock? No Green Lantern from Cartoon network's JL/JLU? You couldn't find any black characters from GI Joe? You do know they made a MIB tv show? No Black characters from Bleach or any other anime? You do know that the Jackson 5 had an animated show?
